WHY I WRITE

Why I Write

I am writing for
my salvation,
for my motivation,
for my life.

My pen is my flashlight
that makes visible my soul.

Words I place
on this paper,
fill my spirit's
empty spaces
and repairs,
one by one,
each and
every hole.

Psalm 45:1
My heart is stirred by a noble theme.
As I recite my verses for the King,
my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.

  1. "Perfect love casteth out fear..." Out of curiosity, what are you most afraid of? In what way has Love (with a capital L or lover case l) helped you drive out the the fear that may be holding you back?

  2. Two of my biggest fears are rejection and failure. Trusting and being assued of God's unfailing love has enabled me to trust His plans for me. In Him there is no failure and He will never forsake me or abandon me.

  3. Hmmm... que interesante... When you review your goals or performance milestones for your biz, are some of them challenging you in risking rejection. Have you had to deal with it during poetry readings or in selling the books? How did you handle it?

When you feel inclined to reject others, do you keep in mind your own feelings on this matter? You are a professional communicator now... I challenge you to do your best work on the upcoming Pecha-Kucha. If I suspect you are sand-bagging, you are VERY LIKELY to experience a measure of rejection (from me!). I have confidence in your abilities and you are poised for wealth and greatness in 2010. Time to step up and claim it!
