TODAY’S PRAYER

Lord, I need to hear from you today.

I stand at the crossroads,

asking for the ancient paths;

needing wisdom to choose the good way.

I need to hear, but not with the ear

that hears and then ignores;

not with the ear that hears and then is bored.

But, with the ear that hears and is wise.

The one able to recognize

the importance of the immediate response to obey.
